Start with the type of lens you wear and the task you need the tool to perform. A soft-lens handler, a hard-lens remover and a vented scleral inserter are different products. Similar-looking cups are not a reliable compatibility test.

Open the option that matches your prescribed lens. These are product distinctions, not a fitting recommendation.

Soft contact lenses — insertion or removal

DMV Soft Lens Handler is designed for both tasks with soft lenses. It does not use suction. Do not use it with hard, gas-permeable, scleral or hybrid lenses.

Hard or rigid gas-permeable lenses — insertion or removal

DMV Ultra three-tool pack is a different device intended for hard and gas-permeable lens handling. It is not the soft-lens option. Confirm the exact tool with your lens fitter.

Hybrid or scleral lenses — insertion only

The white DMV Vented Scleral Cup has an air channel that disables suction. It is designed for insertion, not removal. A non-vented Scleral Cup is a different product.

My lens type is unknown, or I need a different task

Check the name on your lens packaging or ask your lens fitter before selecting a tool. Color, cup size and a similar product name do not confirm suitability. For scleral or hybrid lens removal, do not choose the vented inserter above.

Compare the exact product, then the pack

Check the full model name before comparing prices. “Scleral Cup” and “Vented Scleral Cup” identify different devices; the vented version is not simply another color. Check whether the selected listing contains one tool or a multipack, and whether a storage case is included. Pack size does not change lens compatibility.

Before you use a new tool

Follow your contact-lens fitter’s advice and the instructions for the exact device.
